Battle of Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg was the Last major battle of the Civil War. It was a 3 Day battle.
Day 1:The Confederate Army did not know how many troops the Union had, so they were very careful and cautious with there attack.
Day 2: At this time, more Union troops had arrived occupying higher ground. The Confederate troops tried to flank the Union Army but in the end, they couldn't. In efforts to try to regroup, the Confederates troops tried to break the Union Army but once again, they could not.
Day 3: In the final attempt to overrun the Union Army, General Lee sent his ENTIRE force across on an open fire straight at the Union. THe Union Army was prepared and led the charge and many Confederate troops were slaughtered. The Confederate Army could not continue to battle a stronger northern Army.
The Battle of Gettysburg was won by the Union Army.
